RESEARCH INTEREST
Computational multiscale simulations of materials and physico-chemical processes, solid state ionic and proton conductors, fuel cell catalysis, hydrogen storage, batteries, proton glasses, atomic level mechanism of ionic transport and glass formation, new proton-conducting materials and their applications in fuel cells, sensors, and other electrochemical devices, relationships between crystal structures and properties (ionic conductivity, ferroelectricity and ferroelasticity, glass formation), structural phase transitions, atomic level mechanism of phase transitions, electron density distribution in crystals.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Multiscale computational simulations, X-ray and neutron single crystal and powder diffraction analysis and structural refinement, differential scanning calorimetry, differential thermal and thermogravimetry analysis, optical study of domain structures and birefringence, impedance spectroscopy, synthesis of crystals by the hydrothermal method and from aqueous solution.
